Vielen Dank Berlin!
Liebe E-tropolis Fans,
was war das für ein Fest! Insgesamt 3800 Besucher feierten am Samstag. den 3. September. beim II. E-tropolis Festival auf dem nahezu ausverkauften Berliner Columbiagelände. Das ist neuer Rekord!
Bei spätsommerlichem Kaiserwetter öffneten sich kurz nach 13:00 Uhr die Tore der C-Halle. Als erste von insgesamt 15 Bands begrüßten Xotox die zahlreich erschienenen Electroheads mit ihrem Cyberindustrial For Hyperactive People und gaben den Startschuss für einen Party-Marathon, der seines gleichen sucht. Dabei mischte sich die familiäre Atmosphäre auf dem Gelände mit ausgelassener Action auf und vor den Bühnen.
Derbe Industrialattacken à la Formalin, FabrikC sowie Synthi- und Electropop mit Solitary Experiments, Faderhead und Welle: Erdball wechselten sich mit druckvollen Beats von [:SITD:] und Santa Hates You ab. Dazu setzte es beherzte EBM-Attacken von Spetsnaz, Suicide Commando und Front Line Assembly. Letztere sorgten damit nicht nur für den fettesten EBM-Pogo seit Anbeginn der Aufzeichnung, auch brachten sie mit Rhys Fulber einen ebenso seltenen wie gern gesehenen Gast auf die Bühne. Effektgeladen holten Agonoize, mit einer kleinen Pause im Set, extra Schwung, um es der Hauptstadt anschließend noch härter und schmutziger zu besorgen! "Bässer! Härter! Lauter!" - 110%! VNV Nation setzten wiederum den perfekten Schlusspunkt des II. E-tropolis Festivals, als sie sich, begleitet vom gemischten Chor der Berliner C-Halle, am frühen Sonntagmorgen mit "Perpetual" verabschiedeten.
Wir bedanken uns bei allen Besuchern, die das E-tropolis Festival 2011 wieder zu einem spektakulären Event gemacht haben. Die Premiere 2010 war wirklich schwer zu toppen aber Ihr habt es geschafft! Manchmal ist die Fortsetzung sogar noch besser als das Original! Dafür gebührt Euch ein großes Lob! Ebenfalls bedanken wir uns bei allen Bands und der tollen Crew, die für einen reibungslosen Ablauf sorgte, der Security, den Sanitätern, Händlern, unseren Präsentatoren, der Presse, dem Street-Team und den zahlreichen helfenden Händen, die das E-tropolis Festival 2011 mit gestaltet haben!

III. E-tropolis Festival 2012 & Vorverkaufsstart
Auch 2012 wird es ein E-tropolis Festival in Berlin geben. Am 15. September 2012 kehrt das III. E‑tropolis Festival auf das Berliner Columbia-Gelände zurück um erneut den Festivalsommer mit einem Elektro-Hammer ins verdiente Land der Träume zu schicken! „Bässer! Härter! Lauter!“ als der Rest dürft Ihr Euch abermals auf ein beeindruckendes Line-Up mit den Besten Acts aus EBM, Synthi-Pop und Industrial freuen. Erste Details dazu folgen in Kürze!

Thank you, Berlin!
Dear E-tropolis Fans,
what a festival! Altogether 3800 visitors attended the second E-tropolis Festival on Saturday 3rd September. at the almost sold-out Columbia compound in Berlin. That´s a new record!
Framed by a late-summery weather the gates of the C-Hall opened shortly after 1pm. Being the first of 15 acts, Xotox welcomed an impressive crowd of attending Electroheads with their “Cyberindustrial For Hyperactive People” and thereby fired the starting signal for a party-marathon unlike anything, while the familial atmosphere on the festival ground mixed up with overboarding action on and in front of the stages.
Harsh industrial attacks by the likes of Formalin and FabrikC as well as synth- and electropop by Solitary Experiments, Faderhead and Welle: Erdball alternated with steaming beats of [:SITD:] and Santa Hates You. Further on Spetsnaz, Suicide Commando and Front Line Assembly rocked the house with top-notch EBM. Last mentioned not only caused some real bad-ass EBM pogo, they also presented a popular and rarely seen stage guest in Rhys Fulber on the keys. Visually stunning, Agonoize followed up, adding a small break to their set to take up some extra verve, just to give it to Berlin even harder and grittier than before! 110 % „Darker! Harder! Louder!“. As the headliner of the festival VNV Nation provided the perfect ending for the II. E-tropolis Festival. Thus, when leaving the stage on early Sunday morning, they were accompanied by the big mixed choir of the C-Hall, chanting „Perpetual“.
We thank all attending visitors for their incredible support, which made the E-tropolis Festival 2011 such a spectacular event. Last year´s premiere was hard to beat but you guys really put something on top, proving that a sequel can actually be better than the original! Our sincerest compliments for this outstanding achievement. Also we want to thank all artists and our great crew for the super-smooth production. Our further thanks go to the security, the paramedics, merchants, presenters, the members of the press, the street-team and the countless helping hands, ho shaped what became the E-tropolis Festival 2011!

III. E-tropolis Festival 2012 & Pre-selling
Of course there will be another E-tropolis Festival in Berlin. On 15. September 2012 the third edition will return to the Columbia compound, sending the fading festival summer off to the land of dreams with the vicious strike of its e-hammer! „Darker! Harder! Louder!“ than the rest, you may look forward to an impressive line-up, gathering the very best of EBM, synth-pop and industrial. First facts will be announced soon!
